On the morning of August 28, 2020, the 16th China (Beijing) International Exhibition and Technical Exchange Conference on Construction Machinery, Building Materials Machinery, and Mining Machinery (referred to as "BICES 2021") with the theme of "Digital Efficiency, Green and Reliable" was grandly held at the Grand Hyatt Oriental Hotel in Beijing. Good morning everyone!

Firstly, on behalf of the association, I would like to express my gratitude to the guests who have come to participate in the BICES 2021 press conference amidst their busy schedules. Below, we will introduce the industry's development in recent years. After experiencing a five-year period of low development and rapid recovery and growth in 2017 and 2018, the construction machinery industry has ushered in a stable development year of 2019. According to the association's statistics and summary, after deducting incomparable factors, duplicate data, and non construction machinery industry revenue, In 2019, the entire industry achieved a revenue of 668.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%. Despite being affected by the epidemic in the first half of 2020, thanks to the significant achievements in China's epidemic prevention and control work, measures for resuming work and production in various regions have been actively implemented, and stricter environmental emission requirements have played a positive role. According to the association's statistical data, the sales volume in the first half of 2020 has improved month by month. After comprehensive analysis, excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, truck cranes, crawler cranes included in the association's statistics from January to July 12 types of complete machine products, including on-board cranes, industrial vehicles, road rollers, pavers, lifting work platforms, and aerial work vehicles, have sold a total of 797929 units, a year-on-year increase of 18%, and exported 138182 units, a year-on-year increase of 3.46%, which is a reasonable level. Key industry related enterprise groups had a total operating income of 235.615 billion yuan from January to July 2020, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%. The sales situation in the first quarter was lower than expected, and the sales in the second quarter compensated for the gap between the first quarter's sales and expectations, The overall situation in the second quarter was better than that in the first quarter, and the sales situation in the first half of the year showed a trend of low before high.

Looking ahead to the whole year of 2020, it is expected that the domestic construction machinery market demand will steadily increase. Judging from the current international COVID-19 epidemic and other situations, this year's export of construction machinery will face greater pressure, and greater efforts are needed to maintain growth. In 2021, the demand for construction machinery market will maintain stable development, and new and updated market demand will play a joint role. BICES 2021 will also show more highlights and continue to be popular.
