Among the main imported products, the import volume of tracked excavators decreased by 30.6% and 50.7% respectively, and the import value decreased by 146 million US dollars; The import volume of components decreased by 117 million US dollars. Other imports that have experienced a significant decline include crawler cranes, concrete mixing machinery, and tire excavators. The main sources of import growth include other construction vehicles, pile drivers, construction drilling rigs, and stackers.

In terms of exports, the cumulative export of complete machines reached 2.804 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 18.3%, accounting for 61.4% of the total export volume; The export of components reached 1.765 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 16.6%, accounting for 38.6% of the total export volume. The main reasons for the decrease in export volume from January to March are: components, forklifts, elevators and escalators, loaders, etc. The main reasons for the increase in export volume include crawler excavators, tunnel boring machines, rock drilling machinery and pneumatic tools, and all surface truck cranes with a capacity of over 100 tons.

In the first quarter of this year, the import and export of construction machinery products were affected by the COVID-19 at home and abroad and the domestic market. On the basis of continuous decline last year, the import volume continued to decline at an accelerated rate. 1、 The cumulative import volume in February decreased by 25.2%, and the decline in March continued the trend of the previous two months. With the continuous development of the epidemic in countries such as Europe and America, it is expected that the trend of import decline will continue this year. Exports experienced rapid growth from 2017 to 2018, followed by a slow growth in 2019. In the first two months of this year, due to the impact of the epidemic, there was a decrease of over 20%. In March, the decrease slightly slowed down, dropping by 13.3%, with a cumulative decrease of 17.6% in the first quarter. It is expected that the impact of the epidemic will continue to suppress the rebound of exports this year. The summary of import and export classification of construction machinery products from January to March 2020 is shown in the attached table.
